Cabot Solid Color Oil-Based Deck Stain

Combining maximum color and UV protection with a tough alkyd resin, stains offer a completely opaque finish that imparts lasting beauty for deck surfaces. Containing 100% alkyd resin, these solid color stains are extremely durable and formulated to withstand foot traffic and wear.

Suitable for a wide range of exterior wood decking, including pressure-treated pine, red and white cedar, fir, cypress, redwood, and hardwoods such as mahogany, cambara, merani, and other exotic wood species, these stains are made from special blends of alkyd resins and all-natural pigments. Applying evenly with a brush, spray, or roller, and backbrushing immediately after each section is coated, ensures proper penetration and a uniform opaque finish.

On smooth surfaces, these stains can cover approximately 400 sq. ft. to 500 sq. ft. per gallon, with less coverage on rough surfaces. Cleanup is easy with mineral spirits. For VOC-compliant options, refer to the series beginning with SKU 785245.

Available in a variety of color options, the stains come in four base colors: White, Neutral, Deep, and Medium. These oil-based formulas are richly pigmented for extra UV protection and offer a scuff-resistant finish that is made to be walked on.
