KILZ Chalk Spray Paint for Interior, Toasted Poppyseed, 12 Ounces

KILZ Chalk Spray Paint is an ultra matte, decorative paint and primer in one, designed for upcycling furniture. Featuring a quick-dry formula, this product dries to a premium matte finish with enhanced adhesion and durability on a variety of surfaces, making it ideal for small indoor or outdoor projects and intricate, detailed surfaces. The product can be applied to wood, metal, plastics, cast stone, wicker, and more, with sprayed surfaces further enhanced by KILZ Clear or Dark Sealing Wax. The comfort tip reduces finger fatigue, and the coverage rate is 12 sq. ft. per can, depending on the surface texture, porosity, and application method.

To ensure optimal results, the project surface should be clean, free of dust, grease, wax, peeling paint, mold, and mildew. If washing is necessary, a non-soapy detergent or a TSP substitute should be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Loose paint should be scraped off, and the surface should be sanded to achieve a smooth finish. For difficult surfaces, a coat of primer such as KILZ ORIGINAL oil-based Primer/Sealer/Stainblocker or KILZ Premium water-based Primer/Sealer/Stainblocker should be applied for optimal adhesion.

Application should be done in ideal conditions, with surface, air, and product temperatures between 50°-90°F. Avoid painting in direct sunlight, and ensure adequate ventilation when spraying indoors. Multiple thin coats should be applied to prevent dripping and sagging, allowing for drying between each coat. The product dries to the touch in 15 minutes and can be re-coated after 45 minutes. Temperature and humidity extremes can affect the dry time and final appearance.

Proper ventilation is required to avoid inhalation and combustion hazards. The product should not be used for touch-up on surfaces previously painted with KILZ CHALK STYLE PAINT.
